SJC Brooklyn students embraced the change in season with five hours of celebration during the campus’ annual Fall Fest.
The event last month kicked off with a “stuff-a-plush” zombie activity, a pumpkin patch, candy apples, and funnel cakes on the O’Connor Mall. Later that evening, festivities moved to the Tuohy Hall auditorium for a Campus Activities Board and Student Government Association-sponsored Halloween Party, with a DJ and costume contests.
Fall Fest on Oct 28 was the centerpiece of spooky events leading up to Halloween at SJC Brooklyn. Over the past month, students got in the Halloween spirit with the Academic Center’s Halloween-themed grammar tips on Instagram, a Halloween party hosted by the Women’s Empowerment Club and a themed trivia event, and more.
On Oct. 30, a group of honors students hosted a Halloween event for local children at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Academy and parish in Jamaica, Queens, with candy giveaways and such games as Mummy Bowling, Pumpkin Bean Bag Toss and Witch Hat Ring Toss.
