New and returning students alike attended the Long Island Campus’ Club Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 20, in the Danzi Athletic Center Gymnasium, to learn about the many different opportunities to get involved at the campus.
The annual event allowed students to get acquainted with the 40+ clubs and organizations offered on campus. With organizations broken down into such categories as student government, academics, the arts, service and awareness, Greek life, faith, and club sports, students learned about the many ways they can discover new interests and cultivate existing ones at St. Joseph’s University, New York.
Students also had the chance to interact with members of various student life and student services offices, including the Office of Career Preparation and Professional Development, the Global and Experiential Center, Campus Ministry, and the Center for Counseling and Wellness.
Some of the busier tables at Club Fair were Greek life, Women’s Empowerment Club, the Biology Club, NSSLHA/Speech Pathology Club and the Child Study Club. The Global Studies table also saw a lot of interest, with students asking about opportunities to go to such places as Australia and Italy, as well as asking about upcoming faculty-led trips to Oxford, Greece, Costa Rica, and Germany.
