The Office of Student Involvement, Leadership and Intercultural Engagement at the Brooklyn Campus hosted a handful of events – including Spring Fest – for its annual Spring Fling Week celebrations on April 10-13.
The festivities kicked off with a four-day-long scavenger hunt starting on Monday. The contest featured tech prizes, such as Chromebooks, Airpods and a Kindle.
Spring into Green on Tuesday featured an array of environmental activities. Campus community members gathered in the Tuohy Hall Auditorium to paint mugs, pot plants, build do-it-yourself terrariums and make kindness rocks.
Under clear skies, students, faculty and staff packed the outdoor Dillon Mall on Wednesday for Spring Fest, hosted by the Campus Activities Board (CAB). Attractions included live music, carnival games, a donut wall, a 360-degree photo booth and a barbecue buffet.
Events drew to a close on Thursday with a raffle for unclaimed scavenger hunt prizes in the McEntegart Hall cafeteria.
“It was exciting to see the SJNY community come to life to celebrate the beautiful weather this week,” said Sindy Liu, assistant for student involvement. “CAB did an amazing job helping plan these events; it felt like there was something for everyone.”
