Mark your calendars. Set your alarms. This Wednesday, April 9, 2025, is Giving Day at St. Joseph’s University, New York. This 24-hour fundraising event is when SJNY alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and the local community unite to support crowdfunding efforts that impact students and faculty across the University’s Brooklyn and Patchogue campuses.
Wednesday will be SJNY’s seventh Giving Day effort. The first, held in 2019, raised more than $51,000. Last year, the SJNY community rallied to raise more than $100K across 22 projects.
This year, there are 25 crowdfunding projects designed to bolster the transformational experience SJNY provides on both campuses.
“Giving Day has grown year over year and it is inspiring to see so many of our alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends join in the effort to support these great projects. All donations — whether toward scholarships, new equipment, travel to conferences or student activities are part of our comprehensive campaign for the future of St. Joe’s. Every gift really makes a vital difference,” said Flavio Bollag, assistant vice president for advancement and engagement.
