Kathleen Graves Mentlik ’69 retired in September 2012 from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She concluded a 23-year career as an ophthalmic clinical and surgical technician in support of the ophthalmic faculty practices. Now she spends time traveling around the country and abroad with her husband, Tony, and enjoying their two grandchildren. In addition, she volunteers at a local hospital as a patient ambassador for newly admitted patients, and also serves at her local fire department as a rehab truck volunteer. She is forever grateful to SJC for giving her the tools and the philosophy that has taken her on a wonderful life journey and led her to the place she is in today in Grapevine, Texas.
