Congratulations to Louise Belvedere Caldi ’67, Ph.D., for receiving the Smithsonian Institution’s 2013 Unsung Hero Award. It was presented by the head of the Institution, Secretary G. Wayne Clough, in a ceremony and brunch at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. Louise is an assistant in the curatorial and scholarly program departments at the Freer Gallery of Art and Sackler M. Gallery of the Smithsonian. She provides support to the heads of those two departments as well as to one of the curators, and leads the time of curatorial assistants. A plaque with her name was placed in the Smithsonian Castle at the National Mall.
