SJC Brooklyn is set to celebrate the Class of 2021 Thursday, May 20, at 7 p.m. during a virtual Toast to the Graduates.
Student Life will host the event as a way to acknowledge all the accomplishments of this remarkable group of St. Joseph’s College seniors, who overcame perhaps the most challenging year of their lives while preparing to graduate from college. Faculty, staff, students and their families will attend.
During the virtual toast, students will hear from Phillip Dehne, executive dean and professor and associate chair of the history department; SJC Board of Trustees Chair Christopher R. Carroll, ’88, Esq.; SJC Brooklyn Alumni Board President Margaret Broda ’04; and campus valedictorian, Rachel Rocha, a marketing major with a minor in business administration and a concentration in sports management.
Students were invited to pick up a commemorative champagne flute on campus for the event.
The Toast to the Graduates will also include a commemorative slideshow of well wishes from members of the SJC community.
More than 270 students will earn degrees as part of SJC Brooklyn’s Class of 2021, with official ceremonies taking place on campus in Clinton Hill on Saturday, May 22.
