SJC Long Island’s Student Veterans of America (SVA) and fraternity Delta Kappa Epsilon are set to host a dodgeball tournament fundraiser April 23 in the Danzi Athletic Center from 5 to 8 p.m.
“We are going to have raffles, first- and second-place trophies, music and snacks,” said SVA President George Poulos. “Monster Energy will also be joining us. Bring your friends and family, play some dodgeball and support your fellow students!”
Proceeds from the tournament will go to Fisher House Foundation, a network of homes where military and veterans’ families can stay for free while a loved one receives treatment from a VA medical center, and Anderson Center for Autism, a New York school for students with autism.
Stop by the Veteran Resource Center in the Student Hospitality Lounge or email sjcsjva.li@student.sjcny.edu to register.
Students can sign up on their own or sign up as part of a team, with teams maxing out at five people. It’s $5 per person, and $20 per team.
