St. Joseph’s College’s Office of Institutional Advancement hosted a virtual Holiday Family Fun Night Friday, Dec. 4. During the event, alumni and their families played games and met with Santa Claus.
“I was happy to see how the Holiday Family Fun Night was able to bring festive cheer and fun during these uncertain times,” said Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement Allison Schmidt, who welcomed attendees upon their arrival to the virtual event. “My team and I thoroughly enjoyed hosting this magical experience for all!”
Fifteen alumni and their families joined the sold-out event on Zoom. In the main room, they played an emoji game, guessing titles of holiday movies and songs based on which emojis were used.
And when it was their turn, each family went into a breakout room, where they had the chance to meet with Santa and share what’s on their Christmas gift wish list this year.
The event also helped raise $210 for the SJC Brooklyn and SJC Long Island food pantries, which helps support members of the College community who face hunger by providing immediate and nonperishable food choices.
