St. Joseph’s University, New York is set to welcome Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist and New York Times best-selling author Jhumpa Lahiri to celebrate the launch of her newest release, ‘Roman Stories.’
The Nov. 6 event, held in collaboration with the Greenlight Bookstore, will take place at the Brooklyn Campus at 6 p.m. as part of the Brooklyn Voices series.
“Roman Stories,” written in Lahiri’s adopted language of Italian and translated by the author herself, follows a protagonist named Rome through nine short stories in this collection. Lahiri, a master of the craft of short stories, reached New York Times bestseller-status with her first release, “Unaccustomed Earth.”
Tickets for the Brooklyn Voices event can be purchased online for $27, which includes a signed copy of the book.
Lahiri will appear in conversation with award-winning, Haitian-American novelist and short story writer Edwidge Danticat.
