Get some breakfast before class. Talk about life after SJC over cookies. Enjoy some pizza and have your portrait taken.
SJC Long Island is offering a variety of cool events for the Class of 2020 to socialize — and enjoy free food — during Senior Week, March 2–7. The events are a cooperative effort of the Office of Alumni Engagement, the Center for Student Involvement, and the Office of Career Preparation and Professional Development.
“In just a few months, our seniors will put on their cap and gown for the real deal, walk across the stage as their name is being called, and grab their diploma,” said Lisa Galasso, assistant director of alumni engagement. “It’s a big deal, and we want to celebrate the end of the road on a successful journey to commencement, right before they enjoy their spring break.”
Last year, the week-long festivities celebrating SJC’s next graduates took place the first week of May. They were moved up, however, in order to give seniors a chance to relax and reminisce before their schedules pick up as they prepare for finals and graduation.
