More than a dozen SJC Brooklyn students are planning to spend this Sunday afternoon teaming up with St. Saviour’s Catholic Church to feed the homeless.
The students, most of whom are part of the campus’ Student Leadership Experience (SLE) program, will make, pack and deliver lunches to home less people in Brooklyn.
Michele Corsetti, coordinator of off-campus housing and community service, said she is proud of SJC Brooklyn students for always being eager to help those in need.
“Giving back is always important because it makes students appreciate and be thankful for what they have,” Corsetti said.

In the past, students at the College gathered goodies and wrote notes that were packed in the lunch bags and passed along to St. Saviour’s for distribution. This semester, the students are taking the extra step to donate their time to help the church pass out the lunch bags.
