SJNY’s Criminal Justice Club and Student Veterans of America (SVA) recently co-sponsored a trip to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York City. Jason Ostrowe, Ph.D., assistant professor of criminal justice, Steven Fuchs, Ph.D., professor of history, and Joseph Pascarella, Ph.D., associate professor of criminal justice, with 16 students from both campuses, visited the memorial and museum, as well as many historic downtown sites, including Federal Hall, Zuccotti Park, St. Paul’s Chapel and Liberty Plaza.
“The visit proved to be a deeply meaningful and important experience for all involved,” said Dr. Ostrowe. “Especially considering the impact 9/11 has had on criminal justice and our veterans in the 23 years since that tragic day.”
