Associate Dean for Nursing and Associate Professor Maria Fletcher Ph.D., R.N., C.N.E. will be honored at the 2025 Herald Premier Business Women Awards Gala. The annual award celebrates high-level female leaders making an impact on Long Island.
“I want to congratulate Dr. Fletcher on this recognition,” said Heather Barry, Ph.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs, St, Joseph’s University, New York (SJNY) “An asset to the nursing department, Dr. Fletcher shares a wealth of knowledge with our students who benefit from her extensive experience in the field.”
Dr. Fletcher’s experience in nursing includes public health and maternal and child health, in addition to serving as an instructor at SJNY since 1989. During her time at SJNY Dr. Fletcher has taken on more responsibilities within the Department of Nursing, including serving on several committees and taskforces. Currently, she oversees all undergraduate and graduate programs for both the Brooklyn and Long Island campuses as associate dean for nursing of the Department of Nursing.
The gala will be held on Wednesday, March 19 at the Heritage Club at Bethpage in Farmingdale, NY.
