A group of St. Joseph’s students will sit back and relax Saturday during the Office of Campus Ministry‘s Too Blessed To Be Stressed Retreat.
Sister Marie Mackey, CSJ, said the April 6 retreat to the Jamaica Estates, Queens, campus of The Mary Louis Academy will give students (the retreat is open to students at SJC Brooklyn and SJC Long Island) access to tools to improve their mental health, — including special relaxation methods, mantras and scriptures.
“The retreat will help students become aware that there are more blessings in their lives than they realize,” S. Marie said.
Throughout the day, students will participate in quiet time, discussion and honest sharing. There will be opportunities for students to spend time talking to a spiritual companion, if needed.
Too Blessed To Be Stressed is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at The Mary Louis Academy, 86-44 Edgerton Blvd. in Jamaica Estates, Queens. The retreat fee is $20. Lunch and dinner will be provided.
