SJC Brooklyn is spreading the Christmas spirit to families in need across the city.
The Student Government Association and Campus Ministry have teamed up to host an Adopt-A-Family collection in collaboration with Catholic Charities of Brooklyn and Queens. Donations will benefit 10 families in the two boroughs who were victims of severe flooding during Hurricane Ida in September, said Campus Ministry Director Sister Marie Mackey ’84, C.S.J.
The collection is seeking an assortment of items, including dolls, stuffed animals, puzzles, bicycles, board games and gift cards. For specific items needed, donors should contact S. Marie at smackey@sjny.edu.
SGA and Campus Ministry are collecting the donations until Friday, Dec. 17.
