Catholic Faith Network (CFN) recently hosted its annual Telethon, raising more than $380,000 for TV ministry. The two-day event featured St. Joseph’s University, New York President Donald Boomgaarden, Ph.D., along with numerous other guests.
Dr. Boomgaarden appeared via Skype.
“I think we’re here for the students, that’s what university should be,” Dr. Boomgaarden said. “Any time that I can involve students or be with the students, I do it. I still teach, I still perform with the students and I’m so proud of the students and I’m so happy to be a part of the great institution.”
Dr. Boomgaarden is the host of CFN’s series “Living Our Mission,” which features familiar faces from St. Joseph’s and covers a broad range of topics, including our historic designation change, service and ministry, campus improvements and Patchogue’s new Student Center, as well as strategic planning and student-centered programming.
Season four episodes of “Living Our Mission” are now airing on CFN.
