Beautiful weather. Free food. New friends.
St. Joseph’s University, New York students, faculty and staff reunited Wednesday, Sept. 4 — the first day of classes for the fall 2024 semester, and the University’s annual “Welcome Back Barbecue.”
The SJNY community gathered at the Dillon Mall at the Brooklyn Campus and at Long Island Campus’ Student Center, celebrating the start of a new semester.
The Campus Activities Board event was a huge success, as the St. Joseph’s community gathered under sunny skies and enjoyed lunch, free food, games, and the chance to connect with friends new and old.
“The Welcome Back Barbecue was a huge success to kick off the fall semester,” said Bryan Gill, executive director of Student Involvement, Leadership and Intercultural Engagement at the Long Island Campus. “Everything — from the students, faculty and staff that were present, to the food that was served, the activities and of course the beautiful weather — made this event so welcoming and enjoyable.”
