Novelist Karl Ove Knausgaard, as part of SJC Brooklyn‘s and Greenlight Bookstore‘s ongoing Brooklyn Voices series, will discuss his latest work, “Autumn,” in conversation with Katie Kitamura on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in SJC Brooklyn’s Tuohy Hall Auditorium.
The Norwegian author developed a passionate following of readers for his phenomenally successful “My Struggle” series. This fall, he introduces a stunning new autobiographical quartet that builds in poignancy and intensity as the seasons change. The first short volume in this series, “Autumn,” is comprised of letters written each day to his daughter, Anne, beginning before her birth. The first installment in a year-long literary event, “Autumn” is a marvelously accessible introduction to Knausgaard’s work and a divine pleasure to his fans.
Tickets for this event, which is part of the 2017 Brooklyn Book Festival and hosted by SJC Brooklyn’s Department of Journalism and New Media and Greenlight Bookstore, are $30 and include a copy of the book. Following the discussion, there will be an opportunity to have the book signed by Knausgaard. To RSVP, click here.
