Two top-tier higher education publications recently recognized SJC for its value, academic excellence and affordability.
U.S. News & World Report put St. Joseph’s at No. 8 in its Best Value Schools in the North list, while Washington Monthly placed the College ninth on its “Best Bang for the Buck” Northeast schools list for 2017.
“These rankings represent what SJC’s staff, students and faculty work so hard to accomplish each year,” said Donald R. Boomgaarden, Ph.D., president of St. Joseph’s College. “Every semester, we offer a deep and multi-faceted education to a student population of thousands — and with a realistic price tag — so our alumni are well-suited for the economy they will face after graduation.”

The U.S. News & World Report’s Best Value Schools listing takes into account the magazine’s Best Colleges rankings and the 2016-17 net cost of tuition and fees for a student who received the average level of need-based financial aid. Thus, the higher the quality of the program and the lower the cost, the better the deal.
Meanwhile, Washington Monthly’s “Best Bang for the Buck” list recommends schools that best assist non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices. It’s something St. Joseph’s College has been known for 101 years — a reasonable price for a quality education that advances its graduates in their careers.
