At just 20 years old, Yaphank resident and SJNY student Jaime Daggett ’27 is making a name for herself in the field of wealth management.
Having already passed the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam and obtaining her Series 7 license while pursuing the Series 66 license, Daggett is on track to achieving her goal of becoming a financial adviser before she even begins her senior year.
“It is my passionate goal to be a successful financial adviser,” said Daggett. “Passing my exams took extreme dedication and rigor, and has extended my knowledge of the securities industry.”
In January 2025, as a freshman at SJNY, Daggett started as an intern at Coastline Wealth Management in Port Jefferson while completing a junior-level internship course.
Since then, and with guidance from her role model and SJNY alumnus David Mammina ’07, partner and financial advisor at Coastline, she was hired by the company as a Client Services and Marketing Specialist where she has successfully assisted with acquisitions involving the transition of approximately $1.1 billion in assets, mentored incoming interns, played a key role in developing the company’s new website, and provided expertise in Excel and data management to improve client reporting.
At SJNY, Daggett is the founder and president of the Wealth Management Club and an active member of the SGA. She also maintains a 4.0 GPA while staying on track to graduate with her B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in finance one year early, thanks to the numerous AP credits she earned as a student at Bellport High School.
“I want to help others expand their knowledge of financial literacy and grow their wealth,” she said. “My proficiency in the securities industry, communication and relationship-driven business has led me to this field.”
