As finals week quickly approaches, students are hunkering down for study sessions at SJC Brooklyn. Members of the Student Government Association (SGA) and Campus Activities Board (CAB) offered a list of their favorite places to study on campus and why.

On the right-hand side of the second floor of the library, where the books start, there are chairs and tables set up. Students can read and study quietly without any type of interruption. Noises are prohibited, and there are outlets to connect any type of device. This place is the only one that gives me complete privacy during finals week — which is what I always look for.

- Curriculum library on the first floor of MCE.
- Carrel desks on the second and third floors of MCE.

These spaces are great for collaborating with others during group study sessions, as well as providing a quiet environment for those who like to study alone. It allows them to have an environment that enables them to focus and prepare for their finals. Additionally, the library has extended hours to help those who need to do a lot of studying or have final projects to get done.

I personally enjoy the two computer labs on the second floor of the library. Most people don’t even realize that there are more computers there than on the first floor. The rooms are big, quiet and great for studying before finals.

The Student Lounge and the Red Room in Tuohy are great places to study with classmates if discussion-based studying is best for you.
The round and long tables with computers on the first floor of the library are nice and quiet places for individuals to study. If at any time a person needs to research something while studying a topic, he or she has easy access to the computers. I know that I always need a computer around while studying so that I can quickly look something up or see if I can better understand the topic through other sources.
