St. Joseph’s University, New York (SJNY) has announced the dates for this year’s Student Research Symposiums. The Long Island campus will host its event on Saturday, April 26 while the Brooklyn campus is set host on Tuesday, May 6.
Each spring, students are given the opportunity to put their scholarly achievements on display and present research from across all academic disciplines. The entire SJNY community is welcome to attend, including students, staff, faculty and alumni as well as family and friends.
“What makes this symposium unique is its multidisciplinary nature. Students, faculty, and guests can explore research across various disciplines and departments, which is typically not the case with most conferences and symposiums that are usually dedicated to specific fields,” said Tetyana Delaney, Ph.D., biology professor at SJNY and director of undergraduate research.
Participants have the option share their research through 10-minute talks, poster presentations or art exhibitions. Each submission type comes with its own guidelines.
Students conducting research are also eligible to receive grants. Additional grant information for Long Island grant opportunities can be found here. To learn more about Brooklyn grant opportunities, click here.
The submission deadline for the Long Island campus is Saturday, April 12. The deadline for the Brooklyn campus is April 22.
