Beautiful weather. Free food. Petting zoo.
St. Joseph’s University, New York students, faculty and staff at the Long Island Campus reunited Thursday, Sept. 8 — the second day of fall 2022 classes — during the campus’ annual “Welcome Back Barbecue” on the Danzi Knoll.
The Campus Activities Board event was a huge success, as the St. Joseph’s community gathered under sunny skies and enjoyed lunch, Mister Softee and Kona Ice, while also having access to a petting zoo, corn hole, caricatures, sidewalk chalk and more.
“It was amazing to see so many people on campus this year, and to see them being able to experience the best college life they can,” Emma Koyl, a sophomore who serves as an event coordinator for CAB, said. “That’s what we are trying to accomplish with these events.”
