Students, faculty and staff enjoyed SJC Long Island’s annual Fall Fest on Thursday, Oct. 28, celebrating the change in seasons.
“I’m so excited to have everyone here again,” said SGA President Antonia Dickson, who expects to graduate in 2023 with a B.A. in English and a Concentration in Adolescence Education, and in 2024 with an M.A. in Special Education. “It’s a gorgeous day out, everyone gets to be together, and we’re back celebrating fall at St. Joe’s.”
Hosted by SGA, the event featured free food, prizes, games and pumpkin picking, with tables set up by some of the various campus clubs and organizations. SJC Sharps, a student-run a capella group, and the Dance Team performed.
“Fall Festival has been a tradition within the Student Government Association for many years, which gives the students the opportunity to socialize while enjoying some fall-themed festivities and light refreshments in the middle of the fall semester,” said Bryan Gill ’06, MBA /M.S. ’10, executive director of Student Involvement, Leadership and Intercultural Engagement.
“I was very pleased to see numerous students at this year’s event, coming and leaving with happy faces and enjoying the perfect fall day!” Gill added.
