St. Joseph’s College students, faculty, staff and friends are invited to attend the 2021 SJC Student Research Symposium Friday, April 30.
More than 50 undergraduate students of varying disciplines from SJC Brooklyn and SJC Long Island will share their research virtually via posters, discussions and exhibitions in the College’s first-ever combined symposium across both campuses.
“Every year, the SJC Student Research Symposium provides our community with this opportunity in the spring semester to celebrate the fantastic work our students have done with their research projects,” said Cheyne Glass (Miller), Ph.D., SJC Long Island’s director of undergraduate research and assistant professor of mathematics and computer science.
“Last year, we were unable to hold our symposium, so we are particularly excited to showcase our students’ projects this year,” Dr. Glass continued. “Working with our students on undergraduate research projects is one of my favorite parts of being an SJC faculty member, and we’re all pretty excited to welcome everyone from the greater SJC community to attend our symposium!”
The symposium will launch before noon on Friday, with live presentations from 6 to 9 p.m. Asynchronous interaction with most presentations will be available for two weeks following the event.
