The annual Stuff a Stocking drive was alive and well at SJC Long Island this semester. Students, staff and faculty contributed more than 50 Christmas stockings filled with toys, books, treats and stuffed animals to the Restoration and Revival Center Inc. of Patchogue’s Christmas Toy Give Away Program.
“We are so grateful for the donations we have received this year,” said Sister Karen Donohue, C.S.J., assistant dean of scholarship maintenance and academic events. “With so many families struggling during this pandemic, many children’s Christmas mornings will be a bit brighter thanks to the generosity of the SJC community.”
In addition to the Christmas stockings, 20 gift cards were donated. The Restoration and Revival Center also offers a food pantry, veterans and street outreach, clothing outreach and a teaching and learning center to help people learn English, resume writing and computer lessons.
