St. Joseph’s University, New York has been ranked No. 3 in the Northeast and No. 31 across the country on the annual Military Times’ Best for Vets Colleges list.
“When I came to St. Joseph’s, I was thrilled that we had such active veterans programs on our campuses,” SJNY President Donald R. Boomgaarden, Ph.D., said. “The military and veteran service staff work so hard to focus their attention on this important group of students, and these rankings confirm their commitment. I thank all of our military and veteran students for being a part of the St. Joseph’s community.”
The annual list is the largest and most comprehensive annual ranking of schools for military service members and veterans, and is based off of a survey that is sent to colleges and universities across the nation about the programs they offer for veterans. Survey results are then analyzed, along with public data about colleges and universities obtained from the Department of Education and Department of Veterans Affairs. This year, 325 schools made the list.
“We are honored to be recognized once again by the Military Times’ Best for Vets Colleges list,” said Erin D’Eletto, director of military and veteran services at St. Joseph’s. “We take pride in the programs and services that we offer and how we support students in reaching their individual goals. These rankings are a testament to our commitment to our military and student veterans.”
St. Joseph’s offers a special tuition rate for service members (active duty, guard and reserve) enrolled for up to 10 credits, and is a proud participant in the Post-9/11 GI Bill® Yellow Ribbon Program.
