St. Joseph’s University, New York, in collaboration with the New York state chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW-NYS), is set to host a panel discussion Wednesday, March 6, at 6 p.m. about past, present and future perspectives of the field of social work.
The discussion, which will take place in the McGann Conference Center, will feature Jo Anne Durovich, Ph.D., LMSW, director of SJNY’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program; and Dawn Shedrick, LCSW, Suffolk County division director of the National Association of Social Workers.
Open to the public, the event will allow attendees to gain invaluable insights from esteemed professionals about the rich history, current challenges and exciting future of social work.
Dr. Durovich and Shedrick will lead discussions on the evolution of practices and theories, contemporary issues, and innovative approaches in the field. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals.
