St. Joseph’s College students, faculty and staff put their minds to the test last week during a friendly game of trivia.
The Office of Alumni Engagement hosted the Trivia Contest on Zoom, as part of the College’s Virtual Spring Fling.
Participants formed teams using Zoom’s breakout room function to discuss the answers to the trivia questions. The teams had 10 minutes to answer a series of multiple-choice questions using Google Forms.
Once the time was up, the teams would leave their breakout groups to see how well they did. The questions and the correct answers were read by each campus’ respective Student Government Association president: Colleen Flynn of SJC Long Island and Nick Gangone of SJC Brooklyn.
The trivia questions during the contest ranged from pop culture to science, and included facts about St. Joseph’s College. Each team received two points for a correct answer; no points were deducted for an incorrect response.
The Trivia Contest was held during common hour as fun a way to connect the SJC community as it social distances, following New York state regulations.
Team I Love <3 SJC won the contest with 58 points. Team 1916 came in a close second, earning 46 points.
