Undergraduate students at St. Joseph’s College have the opportunity to research each of these study areas and many more while earning their degrees. Students interested can attend a panel discussion Friday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m. to learn more.
“Come join us for a discussion between faculty and students on their experiences with undergraduate research at SJC,” said Cheyne Miller, Ph.D., SJC Long Island’s director of undergraduate research and assistant professor of mathematics and computer science. “Hear from your peers about what this process looks like within different disciplines and why it could be something you would be interested in and benefit from.”
Dr. Miller and Michael Magee, Ph.D., SJC Brooklyn’s director of undergraduate research and associate professor of psychology, will facilitate the event, while students from a multitude of majors discuss their own research experiences and the opportunities that research has afforded them.
The panel is open to current and prospective students at SJC Long Island and SJC Brooklyn who are interested in research. Attendees will also learn about the chance to present their research at conferences, including St. Joseph’s very own Student Research Symposium.
This year’s Student Research Symposium will occur virtually Friday, April 30, between both campuses. The deadline for those interested in presenting their own research is April 9 at 5 p.m. Learn more here.
