Flu vaccine clinics will be at SJC Long Island Wednesday, Oct. 14, and Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Board Room.
Sponsored by SJC Long Island’s Health Services and in connection with Rite-Aid, the clinics are open to all members of the College community interested in receiving the flu shot this year.
Due to the College’s social distancing guidelines, appointments with the flu vaccine clinics must be scheduled in advance. Any questions can be directed to Health Services.
With COVID-19 still impacting people across the United States, it’s considered more important than ever to be proactive this year and get the flu vaccine, as the number of available hospital beds and ventilators is already limited.
Additionally, according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), it is possible to get both COVID-19 and the flu at the same time.
