Leaders representing SJC Brooklyn’s nearly 30 student clubs and organizations gathered in the Hill Center Wednesday afternoon for a Student Organization Fair.
The fair encouraged students to join a club and get involved on campus.
Student Government Association President Eva Jefferson-Page ’22 said joining a club is a great way for students to make the most of their SJC experience.
“The importance of students joining student organizations is help them develop a sense of community, and also to find who they are,” said Jefferson-Page, a Child Study major, with a concentration in Speech. “I believe that the student organizations on campus follow the tradition of the college of love, unity and reconciliation. What’s a better way to feel the love of SJC than joining the student organizations?”
At SJC Brooklyn, there are a wide range of clubs to choose from that suit many interests. Jefferson-Page is a member of a slew of clubs, including the Music Performance Club, Black Student Association, Campus Ministry, Students Join Through Christ, Women’s Empowerment, Child Study Club, Be the Match and SJC Squared. She is also on the Diversity and Inclusion board.
A full list of SJC Brooklyn’s club offerings is available on SJCEngage.
