On Oct. 28, the Campus Activities Board (CAB) at St. Joseph’s University, New York, held their annual Trick or Treat Street event.
CAB turned the Long Island Campus Student Center into a not-so-spooky place for young children and their families to get into the Halloween spirit. Student organizations and department offices lined the hallways with a variety of engaging and creative activities for the attendees.
“This year, more than three hundred adults and children attended Trick or Treat Street, and we are incredibly grateful for their participation and support,” said Michaela Reis, co-program director of CAB. “The purpose of our student organization is to foster connection and bonding within the St. Joseph’s University community. This event is especially meaningful because it extends beyond our campus community to serve the greater community of Long Island, including SJNY alumni who choose to return and support Campus Activities Board post-graduation.”
While the event mainly focused on getting into the Halloween spirit, CAB accepted non-perishable food donations throughout the event to support the on campus food pantry.
“We would like to extend a special thank you to all the SJNY clubs and organizations that participated in this year’s event, including Student Government Association, Alpha Gamma Delta, Theta Phi Alpha, Psychology Club, Rotaract Community Service Club, SJNY Dance Team, Art Club, Project Sunshine, Drama Society, Studio 155, Green Team, Tabletop Games, Biology Club, Eaglettes Kickline Club, and the Office of Alumni Engagement,” said Reis.
