Peter Lin, Ph.D., associate chair and professor of psychology at St. Joseph’s University, New York, is set to interview Dr. Myrna Weissman, a professor of epidemiology and psychiatry at Columbia University, Friday at 7 p.m. EST about how relationships impact our wellness.
The interview will appear as a webisode of C.A.F.E. 229, a public affairs program produced by the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation, of which Dr. Lin is a host. C.A.F.E. 229 stands for Compassion in Action, Freedom, Enlightenment.
“Dr. Weissman is a very important figure in the current psychological intervention development,” Dr. Lin said. “She is a co-founder of Interpersonal Psychotherapy, or IPT. Based on IPT, the majority of our emotional issues has a lot to do with our relationships.
“I hope the C.A.F.E. 229 audience can be inspired by her teaching and pursue a happy and balanced lifestyle,” Dr. Lin added.
