St. Joseph’s University, New York welcomed nearly 500 new students to the Long Island Campus on Tuesday, Aug. 30, for Orientation.
First-year and transfer students heard from Associate Vice President for Student Life Janelle Hill and Executive Director of Student Involvement Bryan Gill. They also got acquainted with members of various student life and student services offices, including the Office of Career Preparation and Professional Development, the Global and Experiential Center, the Center for Counseling and Wellness, and Campus Ministry.
Lunch and refreshments included acai bowls and soft serve ice cream from Mister Softee. New students had the chance to win raffles and prizes during the Golden Eagles Festival at Orientation.
Classes start Wednesday, Sept. 7, with the annual Welcome Back Barbecue set for noon to 2 p.m. that day.
