Students at St. Joseph’s University, New York’s Long Island Campus took a break from studying last week to enjoy some destressing activities.
On Wednesday, Dec. 4, students enjoyed Frosty Fest, hosted by the Office of Student Life. Students participated in ice skating, a snow globe photo op, crafts and free food brought in by the dining hall.

“I loved how it brought our student body together through various things associated with the holidays,” said Kai Cenizal, ’25. “This event really motivated me and the rest of the students to finish the semester on a strong note so we can all enjoy the holidays.”
On Thursday, Dec. 5, the Center for Counseling and Wellness and the Campus Activities Board offered a series of holiday-themed crafts, including snowflake painting, cookie decorating, snowflake making, and coloring sheets.
After students played with service dogs brought in by Therapy Dogs of Long Island. Jake and JoJo were a hit with students and brought them great relief during this stressful time.
