When it comes to food in Clinton Hill, the dining out options are aplenty. We asked five SJC Brooklyn staffers to share their favorite neighborhood eatery. Here are their choices:
Evodio’s Place – McEntegart Hall 
“Ever since I started working here, Evodio’s has been my first option for food. Better than a diner at a lower cost, Evodio and his team will make anything at any time off their exhaustive menu and will make custom orders too if they have the ingredients. Fresh, speedy and always good, one of the best options for food in the neighborhood is thankfully right on campus.”

Mac Shack – 901 Fulton Street 
“Mac Shack is one of my favorite places to eat for lunch. With tons of options (you have to try the Brooklyn Bridge Mac), it’s so much more than macaroni and cheese. Service is friendly, fast and affordable. They give you great portions and deliver pretty quickly too. A savory win for all!”

Thai 101 – 448 Myrtle Avenue
“My favorite Thai restaurant in the area is Thai 101 on Myrtle Ave. The food is fresh, has great flavor and just enough heat to keep things interesting. Lunch specials come in at $6.95, which is a great price for what you are getting with an entree and appetizer. Out of the many Thai restaurants in the neighborhood, Thai 101 stands out because the food is always delicious and satisfying.”

Mike’s Coffee Shop – 328 DeKalb Avenue 
“Mike’s Coffee Shop serves up quality diner fare within 5 minutes of campus. Their breakfasts are great and the pancakes and French toast are my faves. For lunch, their BLT and hamburgers are fantastic, and their prices are fair and reasonable.”

Mega Bites Diner – 245 DeKalb Avenue 
“Try Mega Bites, 245 DeKalb Ave, right off the corner of Vanderbilt Ave. It has the big salads that the Seinfeld characters always craved. Come to think of it, you freshmen were probably born after Seinfeld went off the air. Watch the reruns on your iPhone. It was hysterical.”
