Callahan Library • SJC Long Island
Callahan Library recognizes the dedication and innovative contributions S. Virginia Thérèse Callahan, C.S.J., made to SJC. Opened in 1989, Callahan Library was the first new building on the campus in Patchogue. S. Virginia, a 1946 SJC graduate, served in various capacities at SJC. She was a chemistry professor, the College’s first director of development and the dean of SJC Long Island.
