Burns Hall • SJC Brooklyn
The majestic Georgian-style home at 245 Clinton Ave. was renamed in 2003 to honor a woman who continues to be one of the College’s most loyal and influential educators. S. Mary Florence Burns, C.S.J., Ph.D., graduated from SJC in 1946, returned to teach English in 1950, and later became academic dean and vice president for academic affairs. The College moved to 245 Clinton Ave. in 1918.
