Molloy Memorial Theatre • SJC Brooklyn
In 1941, Archbishop Thomas E. Molloy, SJC’s second president, dedicated the Clement House at 254 Clinton Ave. as an outdoor theater containing a sports house, dressing room and restroom facilities. Dr. Molloy, one of College’s first faculty members, was revered for his dedication to the students and for his support of charitable events. The theater was officially named the Archbishop Thomas E. Molloy Theatre in 1957 after his death in 1956.
