Tzu Chi’s Da Ai Headlines story included statements from St. Joseph’s College President Donald R. Boomgaarden, Ph.D., and psychology professor Peter Lin, Ph.D., about the partnership between the two schools.
SJC Brooklyn welcomed six volunteer leaders from Tzu Chi for the “Humanities of New York” program on June 30. In 2017, 20 students from both SJC Brooklyn and SJC Long Island traveled to Tzu Chi in Hualien, Taiwan, for a month-long experience during which they learned about Chinese culture and the value of mindfulness.
