St. Joseph’s University, New York’s Long Island Campus celebrated St. Patrick’s day with festive events both on campus and in the community.
St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
On March 12 the Office of Global Studies, Student Involvement, Leadership and Intercultural Engagement; the Council for the Arts; and Theta Phi Alpha came together for a celebration of the holiday.
The event featured Irish treats, activities, a photo booth and traditional Irish dancers.
The celebration continues for the Office of Global Studies as they are preparing for their upcoming trip to Ireland in Jan. 2027. The trip is open to all Long Island campus students and courtesy of a generous donation, the office has five $1,000 grants available.

Patchogue Parade
On March 22, students, faculty and staff joined the Village of Patchogue for their 31st Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, highlighting Patchogue-based businesses, organizations, Irish dancers and pipe bands.
Starting on Route 112 and East Main Street, SJNY marched down Main street featuring the Student Government Association and the Eaglettes.
“St Joe’s really came to show Patchogue who the hometown university is. It was such an amazing afternoon representing St. Joe’s not only with students but faculty and staff also,” said Emma Sasso ‘26, Student Government Association President.
