Dedicating its buildings to leaders who have played pivotal roles in the institution’s development and expansion has long been a hallmark of St. Joseph’s College.
St. Angela Hall • SJC Brooklyn
SJC’s home for its first two years of existence was a modest wooden structure on the grounds of St. Angela Hall Academy. Believed to be named after St. Angela de Merici, the patron saint of education for girls, the academy was purchased by SJC from the Sisters of St. Joseph in 2001, nearly a century after the Sisters of St. Joseph bought the hall from the Episcopalian sisters.
